Uplands High School, Mutundwe: Computer Lab Donation
Uplands High School, Mutundwe, was established in January 2001 as a private licensed school with an initial enrollment of 110 students. Founded by Mr. Noah K. Luboyera Semugoma, son of the late Rev. Festus Luboyera, who was also a professional teacher, the school has grown significantly over the years. In 2006, Uplands High School acquired its own land, located 100 meters from its former rented premises. Since then, the school has developed its infrastructure, including classrooms,
an administration block, a computer room, a kitchen, and latrines, though its complex is still under construction
“This new computer lab is a game-changer for Uplands High School, Mutundwe. It marks a significant milestone in our journey toward providing quality education that equips our students with the skills needed to thrive in a digital world. We are deeply grateful to the Global Technology Access Foundation, Mr. Clark, Mr. Kyakuwa John, and Computer Works Uganda for making this transformation possible. Our students now have access to a modern, reliable system that will enhance their learning experience and open doors to limitless opportunities.”
– Head Teacher, Uplands High School, Mutundwe
Recently, the school reached out to us for assistance with upgrading its computer lab. In response, we were delighted to offer a donation, thanks to the generous support of the Global Technology Access Foundation, led by Mr. Clark, Mr. Kyakuwa John, and other contributors at the school.
The computer lab was transformed from a faulty 6-user lab into a modern 20-user Windows MultiPoint Server (WMS) system, running on two servers. The upgrade was successfully deployed by Computer Works Uganda, ensuring that students now have access to reliable and cutting-edge technology for learning.
We invite you to visit Uplands High School, Mutundwe, and see the transformative power of technology in education. Come and learn how to use computer applications and enhance your skills!
